When Life calls you to be in service–take the call.
There’s a lot of discussion in spirituality about ego and the myriad of ways to diminish it. No matter what spiritual tradition you are studying, there are unlimited suggestions and tools for doing so. However, no matter how many methods we come up ? nothing can replace service as one of the most powerful techniques.
But even service isn’t immune to the devious ways of the ego to assert itself. Nothing can demolish a great experience of service than the ego getting all puffed up about yourself and how much you’re helping others. Well, if this is the point of view you are approaching service from, obviously you’re not going to lessen your ego ? you’re going to inflate it.

Dayboro was originally a small country settlement north of Brisbane and is now a rural outer suburb. It is popular for its houses set on large blocks and is known for its art and craft shops. This article looks at the history and growth of this beautiful little Queensland town a short drive from Brisbane city.
Timber-getters, attracted by cedar and beech, were among the first Europeans in the Dayboro region. Dayboro was first known as Hamilton, amed after a farmer, Hugh Hamilton, who was appointed Receiving Officer for mail in 1875. In 1892, it became known as Terrors Creek from the creek on which it is situated.

The Art Of Power comes from with in. Allow one of the greatest living teachers of all time give you powerful lessons of humility.
I’ve read most of Thich Nhat Hahn’s books. He is the Vietnamese Buddhist Monk who was banned from ever going back to his country because of his stand against the Vietnamese War.
This latest book, “The Art of Power,” written in Thich’s 90th decade, is honest and gets to the heart of what ails human kind in the beginning of the 21st century.
The book also addresses what can set us free.
