Being in Service–A Real Ego Killer

When Life calls you to be in service–take the call.

There’s a lot of discussion in spirituality about ego and the myriad of ways to diminish it. No matter what spiritual tradition you are studying, there are unlimited suggestions and tools for doing so. However, no matter how many methods we come up ? nothing can replace service as one of the most powerful techniques.

But even service isn’t immune to the devious ways of the ego to assert itself. Nothing can demolish a great experience of service than the ego getting all puffed up about yourself and how much you’re helping others. Well, if this is the point of view you are approaching service from, obviously you’re not going to lessen your ego ? you’re going to inflate it.

Where can a degree in applied arts and design take you? Graduates working in the field can be found in the world’s top fashion houses, Fortune 500 companies, respected architectural firms, and more.

Pursuing a degree in applied arts and design can be a smart way to combine your artistic ability with training for a potentially lucrative career. While no educational program can guarantee such a career, hiring managers typically prefer or require education when reviewing potential applicants.

Unlike training strictly in fine arts, applied arts and design courses can provide students with a mix of artistic and technical knowledge that can be used in today’s competitive design careers. The 5 Powers and 3 Virtues

The Art Of Power comes from with in. Allow one of the greatest living teachers of all time give you powerful lessons of humility.

I’ve read most of Thich Nhat Hahn’s books. He is the Vietnamese Buddhist Monk who was banned from ever going back to his country because of his stand against the Vietnamese War.

This latest book, “The Art of Power,” written in Thich’s 90th decade, is honest and gets to the heart of what ails human kind in the beginning of the 21st century.

The book also addresses what can set us free.
