Each party begins with invitations, and the easiest and most inexpensive nautical themed party invitation idea is to use the message in a bottle approach. You may reuse water bottles or purchase small, plastic bottles from novelty specialists. Add a few small shells, a bit of sand, a rolled message (containing all your party information, including a map, if necessary) and tie with raffia, and you have a hardy, har har invitation to your nautical party.

A Finding Nemo party menu can feature some of the many flavors from the ocean. Give the kids what they crave with Fish and Chips with plenty of vinegar and ketchup. The adults may appreciate some grill or fried scallops. Crab cakes are fun for everyone and the kids will love being able to pick them up to eat. If Crab isn’t in the budget, opt for the Salmon patties instead using canned salmon meat. There’s nothing wrong with some yummy sushi! The kids may scoff a little but the more adventurous in your group will certainly enjoy the chance to try something new on their taste buds. BBQ Chicken and Corn on the Cob
Of course there’s nothing better than grilled corn on the cob but what meat does it go best with? When grilling outdoors at your favorite picnic site, pairing finger foods like barbecue chicken and grilled corn on the cob is enough to make your mouth water. Add a quick side of lite coleslaw and you have the perfect healthy menu.
Perfectly grilled corn on the cob is easy. Simply place 4 ears of corn, shucked, onto a large piece of foil. Place two ice cubes and two tablespoons of butter on the corn and wrap tightly. Grill for 15-20 minutes; remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Carefully unwrap and enjoy!

These popular dolls were really big during the 80s and early 90s and they are experiencing a little bit of a revival in popularity. So your kids today are having fun and enjoying some of the same Cabbage Patch Kids dolls that you enjoyed as a kid.

Barney the purple dinosaur is a kid’s classic, though his popularity does tend to drop off drastically as kids get older. Barney and his troupe of friends are of course very easy to find with themed party items, and favors. If your buying all of your party supplies for a Barney themed party at the right stores, then it’s more a matter of knowing what not to buy rather than what to buy. Just don’t go to over board, and remember that if it makes noise you have to listen to it. If all else fails, the color purple, rainbows, and dinosaurs will all work well.
